Why FinnDesk
CA firms don't need more software. They need fewer seams.
The cost of a stitched-together practice is not the licence fees — it is the missed deadlines, the unbilled work and the client documents that arrive too late to matter. FinnDesk removes the gaps rather than adding another tool across them.

What is different
Six things accounting firms notice in the first fortnight.
Compliance schedules, not reminders
Define the recurring schedule once — ITR, GST, TDS, ROC, audit — and FinnDesk creates the tasks automatically for every client, assigns owners, and escalates if a deadline approaches without progress.
Documents collected, not chased
WhatsApp reminders go out on a schedule you configure. Clients respond to the channel they already use, and the documents land on the client record — not in your staff’s personal inbox.
Billing that closes itself
When a task is marked done, it queues for billing. No month-end reconstruction. No revenue lost between the job and the invoice.
Every client, one complete record
Statutory identifiers, contact history, open and closed work, outstanding invoices, WhatsApp threads — all on one client screen. Anyone in the firm can answer a client query without asking a colleague.
Automation you can audit
Agents run in dry-run first and log every action. Automation that nobody can explain is worse than no automation — so every action is attributable.
A person, not a documentation link
Onboarding is run by a named implementation contact who sets up your templates and recurring schedules with you, not handed to you through a help centre.
Side by side
A stitched stack versus one workspace.
| Area | Stitched stack | FinnDesk |
|---|---|---|
| Compliance deadlines | Manual calendar entries and email reminders | Recurring schedules auto-create tasks for every client, every period |
| Document collection | WhatsApp on personal phones, chased by staff | Automated reminders, documents filed on the client record |
| Work → invoice | Reconstructed from notes and memory at month end | Closed tasks queue for billing automatically |
| Client record | Split across spreadsheet, drive, inbox and memory | One record: work, docs, invoices, conversations |
| Team visibility | Status calls and shared spreadsheets | Live view of every job, owner and deadline across all clients |
| Adding a module | New vendor, new migration, new training | A switch — your client data is already there |
Getting started
What the first month looks like.
No implementation partner, no six-month programme, no invoice before you have seen it work.

Week 0 — Mapping call
We walk through how your practice works today: which clients, which recurring services, how you currently bill and where deadlines fall through. You leave with a configuration plan.
- 2
Week 1 — Import and configure
Client list and open engagements come in from CSV. Recurring schedules, task templates and billing models are configured with you — not handed over through documentation.
- 3
Week 2 — Live on compliance tasks
The team starts logging and completing work in FinnDesk. WhatsApp reminders go live. Closed tasks start queuing for billing.
- 4
Week 3–4 — Widen the platform
Switch on payroll, attendance, AI or any module that was waiting. The client records are already there — nothing migrates a second time.

FAQ
The questions worth asking before you switch
Still unsure whether it fits how your team actually works? Ask us the awkward version of the question — we would rather answer it now than after you have migrated.
Talk to us We already use a task tracker and billing software. Why change?
The tools are rarely the problem — the seams between them are. If your team reconstructs completed work at month end to raise an invoice, or manually tracks which clients have sent their documents, that cost is real and recurring. Start with the one seam that hurts most.
How does it handle our existing client list?
Clients, contacts, statutory identifiers and open work import from CSV or your current software. We map the fields with you once on the onboarding call, run the import, and your team can start the same week.
Can it handle both compliance work and advisory work?
Yes. Recurring compliance engagements get scheduled templates with statutory deadlines. Advisory and ad hoc work is added as tasks against the client with a billing model you choose — fixed fee, hourly, or retainer.
How is pricing structured?
A flat monthly base that covers your first five users on either the Standard or Growth plan, plus a per-seat charge above that. There is no cap on clients, tasks or client records — the only quota is document storage, at 5 GB on Standard and 25 GB on Growth.
What happens if we want to leave?
Your data exports in full — clients, tasks, documents and invoices — in standard formats. There is no exit fee and no notice period beyond the current billing term.
Is it suitable for a small CA practice with two or three partners?
Yes. The minimum plan covers five users and the configuration is lighter for a smaller team. Many of our customers started as two-partner practices and scaled the platform as they grew.
